This frame tutorial was made with PSP7 but can be created in earlier versions too ...
Earlier versions may not have the fine leather effect used in this tutorial but the
frame can be accomplished without it.

Jasc Paint Shop Pro
You can download a fully functional 30 day trial version ... Here

Floral Image I Used
You can download the image ... Here
Unzip and then open in PSP

Plug-In Filter - NVR BorderMania
You can download the filter ... Here
Unzip and place in your PSP Plug-in Filter folder

~ Instructions ~

1. Choose a color you want for your frame and set as your Background color ...I used #4A3860

2. Image / Add Borders with the following settings:

3. With the Magic Wand....click on the new border
Selections / Invert

4. Effects / 3D Effects / Cutout with the following settings:

5. Repeat Cutout effect except this time use Vertical -2 / Horizontal -2
Selections / Select None

6. Effects / Plug-In Filters / NVR BorderMania / Frame #2 with the following settings:

7. Selections / Select All
Selections / Modify / Contract / 3
Image / Crop to Selection

8. Image / Add Borders / Symmetric Checked / 10

9. Effects / Plug-In Filters / NVR BorderMania / Frame #2 with the following settings:
Border Width: 10 ~ Frame Width: 10
Highlight Intensity: 180 ~ Shadow Intensity: 130
Bevel: Unchecked ~ Notch Corners: Checked

10. Selections / Select All
Selections / Modify / Contract / 3
Image / Crop to Selection

11. Image / Add Borders / Symmetric Checked / 10

12. Effects / Plug-In Filters / NVR BorderMania / Frame #2 with the following settings:
Border Width: 10 ~ Frame Width: 10
Highlight Intensity: 180 ~ Shadow Intensity: 130
Bevel: Unchecked ~ Notch Corners: Checked

13. Selections / Select All
Selections / Modify / Contract / 3
Image / Crop to Selection

14. Image / Add Borders / Symmetric Checked / 16
With the Magic Wand....click on the new border

15. Effects / Texture Effects / Fine Leather with the following settings:

16. Selections / Select None

17. Image / Add Borders / Symmetric Checked / 7

18. Effects / Plug-In Filters / NVR BorderMania / Frame #2 with the following settings:
Border Width: 7 ~ Frame Width: 7
Highlight Intensity: 180 ~ Shadow Intensity: 130
Bevel: Unchecked ~ Notch Corners: Checked

If necessary, Resize image and Sharpen ...
